The fact that Danny was not
the chief breadwinner did
not bother Joanna until it
started to bother him. Their
squabbles escalate, and
their friends, good ole Water
and sexually frustrated
Shelby, step in to help.
They cuddled in the candlelight until their combined heat warmed their bodies and melted the frost between them.
Danny unzipped her robe. His hands made playful sweeps across her breasts. His hot breath on her neck was a
welcome respite from frigid air circulating around her. He whispered softly in her ear.
"I can stand the cold as long as I have you to keep me boiling. There's no one else for me, Jo. Now now, not ever."
She briefly thought of Walter, but blinked his image from her mind. She was in the arms of the man she married. The
man who could satisfy her every need. His kisses became demanding and she kissed him with the fervor of a woman
long deprived.
"I love you so much," he whispered.
She clung to his words and felt the pleasure of his love. "I love you, too. I want things to be right between us, baby."
And for the moment, it was. He continued teasing her body with his hands and mouth. She returned the favor. This
was Danny. This was the man she loved. Music poured from the battery-powered boombox. Love songs. Sweet
romance. When the music changed to a fiery tempo, so did their lust. Neither wanted to undress, but his caresses were
like flames on her skin.
"Keep it up and we'll have to go right back to bed," she whispered."
"And what would be so wrong with that?" He leaned forward and captured her mouth. "Don't ever stop loving me, Jo.
No matter what stupid things I might say or do, please don't stop loving me."
